Everyone should at least try this place. It's really good. It's not the sort of place you'd want to sit and eat but if your looking for great homemade Caribbean food to go, this is the place to go. It gets two thumbs up from me.

Worst restaurant I've ever been to .... Not a welcoming atmosphere Workers seem to have an attitude . Always running out of food... Oxtail specifically. I Ordered jerk chicken last time and there was hair in my food. If I was you I wouldn't eat here... If you want to eat hair be my guest.

This food is authentic and well made. Even if you aren't an adventurous eater, the Jerk Chicken is amazing. A must in EBurg.

I had the Jamaican Beef Patty on CocoaBread...it was soo good!! Cannot wait to try more Caribbean foods! It was mildly spicy, but not overbearing. The CocoaBread was slightly sweet and fluffy and absolutely perfect! I'm telling all of my friends to come here!

Had the jerk chicken tonight since they were out of my first 3 choices (kinda bummed since I drove 45 minutes to come here). The chicken was terribly under seasoned and I left disappointed. Hoping next time is better! Just a tip... call and ask if they have your favorite dish before coming here.

Eat here as many times as you possibly can. EVERYTHING is AMAZING. My husband and I were only in town for 2 days, and we are here twice in a row. Doesn't even matter what you order, it's all incredible. They were out of jerk chicken so we got jerk short ribs, then chicken curry, and oxtail. The owner let us sample anything we wanted, so we tried the BBQ ribs and the goat, both very tasty. Prices are great. Huge Meal for two, under $30.

This place is yum yum good. First of all, I was enamored with the fact that they actually had everything listed on the menu. I know it sounds silly but I'd gotten used to repeatedly hearing, "Oh, we don't have that," when I try only-kind-in-town small family establishments serving "ethnic" cuisine (By the way, what kind of cuisine is NOT ethnic? Is there some sort of nationless universal food? Sounds like soylent green. No thank you! Okay back to the review...) I was tempted to try the escovietch fish after having it for the first time and loving it while visiting a friend in Jamaica, but I decided to play it safe and have the small serving of the chicken curry. Oh man, was it good. The chicken was tender, curryrific, and with just the right amount of sauce to swim in. The "rice and peas" were moist and flavorful, not just something to fill you up. The plantains were cooked just right, a sweet, chewy complement to the savory flavors in the dish. Even the cabbage was the perfect balance between softened and crisp. I thought I was going to have leftovers to eat for dinner, but I tore it up. I can't wait to go back and try the escovietch fish, the brown stew chicken, all the different patties, and the desserts like the bread pudding. I was also encouraged by the fact that a steady stream of customers--mostly actual Caribbean folks--came into the restaurant to order takeout.

This is a like 6 seat family business that does mostly take out. It's the only option for Jamaican food in the area and they do a good job with the food and have a strong following for take out. The patties come from a commercial bakery I've nver heard of but they are a really great quality and are better than the Golden Krust or Tower Island ones available all over NYC. The spinach patties are wonderful. They offer a range of plate sizes from mini size to large so you can order a portion that is right for you. They need to work on basic customer service, they normally have 1 person on register and 2 people staring into space pretending they have no customers on line. I've waited way too long for take away patties while somebody sat around doing nothing and 8 customers waited in the little seating area. Easy problem to fix, hope they figure it out.

I get the goat there, and it's always great. Spicy and hearty. Definitely best place in East Stroudsburg. Try it!

Food is fantastic, highly recommend the jerk pork. I've tried a lot of stuff on the menu, and it's all great. The ice cream is also great here too!

the people who work here are very friendly. The food is good, but a little expensive for take-out. Be careful what you order, many of meats in the meals contained bones (which could be a surprise if you like to shovel the food into your mouth like i do)

Talk about G Double OO G Good, this place is great, Oxtail, Curry Chicken, Stew Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Short Ribs, Stew Peas, Roti hmmm.... am I forgetting anything? Probably so, Consistently good Jamaican food. Carrot Juice, Sorrel, Ginger Beer, all homemade,and out of this world moist Blackcake. Servings are plentiful and you definitely won't be disappointed. Great atmosphere, great food, what more you want?
